Instant Pot Applesauce

What you need:

  • 12 cups apples ( I used Honeycrisp)

  • 2 cups water

I do not add sugar or cinnamon but you can if you wish, it is plenty sweet and delicious without the sugar.

How you do it:

  1. Peel and core your apples and cut into pieces.

  2. Put apples and water into the instant pot, and cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.

  3. Allow pot to naturally release.

  4. Strain the apples, but keep the water. You may need to add some back later to get the consistency you want.

  5. Mash the apples or use an immersion blender to get the consistency you desire.

THAT'S IT! Easy Peezy Homemade apple sauce! I will freeze mine in Ziploc bags and/or reusable food pouches. I also store some in jars in the fridge for immediate eating. You can also can the jars of sauce, but I am no expert on that so be sure to find an appropriate recipe/instructions.

I ended up with 7 cups of apples sauce, which gave me 12, 4 ounce pouches for T!
