Stovetop Chocolate Pudding

*makes 2 large portions

What you need:

  • 1/2 Cup Sugar

  • 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

  • 1/8 Cup Cornstarch

  • pinch of salt

  • 2 Cups Milk

  • 1 TBSP Butter

  • 1 tsp Vanilla

How to make it:

  1. Combine sugar, cocoa powder, corn starch, and salt in a medium sized sauce pan.

  2. Turn burner on to medium heat.

  3. Slowly whisk in the milk.

  4. Whisk continually. The pudding will slowly start to thicken.

  5. Once the pudding boils, let it do so for a couple minutes, then remove from the heat. It should take about 15 minutes to boil. I urge you to stay by the pot and stir the whole time as it can burn quick once it gets going.

  6. Stir in butter and vanilla.

  7. Put in desired dishes immediately, and let sit 15 minutes (or as long as you can wait) and then enjoy!

You can store it in the fridge for up to a week....it's never lasted that long in my house though.
